Major of Chemical Engineering of SUES on the List of 2022 Shanghai Ranking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS)

Recently,  Shanghai Ranking, a professional institution of higher education  evaluation, released the 2022 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects  (GRAS), the Major of Chemical Engineering of SUES entering the list.


As  a global university ranking on par with US News and QS, Shanghai  Ranking is more popular among academic institutions. It’s reported that  the 2022 GRAS covers 54 disciplines, including science, engineering,  biology, medicine and social sciences. The ranking involves more than  5,000 universities worldwide, with over 1,800 universities from 96  countries and regions finally appearing on the list of each discipline.


Since  the 13th Five-Year Plan, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering  has attached great importance to discipline construction, making great  efforts to strengthen academic teams, talent training, scientific  research and major construction, so as to achieve promising results. The  college insists on the idea of differentiated discipline construction,  implements the plan of upgrading key disciplines, initially builds a  coordinated development of discipline ecological system, and forms 12  characteristic disciplines and advantageous discipline teams in the  majors of “Chemical Engineering Materials”, “Bio Medicine” and  “Resources and Environment”, which has greatly improved the scientific  research capability, with some majors reaching the domestic leading  level. Up till now, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering has  three Master’s degree programs in following three majors as Chemical  Engineering, and Technology, Pharmacy, and Resources and Environment,  along with two provincial and ministerial platforms as Shanghai Research  Center of Pharmaceutical Intelligent Equipment Engineering Technology  and Shanghai Frontier Science Research Base of Cardiovascular and  Cerebrovascular Non-Coding RNA Effectiveness. Most of all, the Chemistry  discipline is among the top 1% disciplines in global ESI ranking.
